Planning for a Stronger Alabama.
On August 29, 2011, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley announced the appointment of 19 community, corporate and non-profit leaders from across the state to the newly formed Tornado Recovery Action Council of Alabama. Governor Bentley has asked this group of private citizens to develop a report outlining recommendations for long-term recovery following the devastating April 2011 tornadoes. This plan will not only include ideas for rebuilding a better Alabama but also for ensuring preparedness in the future.
